I thought there had to be a better method and searched online for other tools but did not see anything that was fast and affective. So, being a retired machine shop owner, I started to experiment with ideas to make the job a bit easier. I wanted something that would get UNDER the weed so that it also removes most of the root, something that was versatile for small and also large weeds, was fast , affective, and easy to use. My approximate 40 different original designs all worked fairly well but had limitations, then my final design of a 6 pointed star shaped cutter head proved to fit all of the criteria. I then added a pointed end 90 degree opposite the star cutter to keep it from bouncing around. This design allows you to remove tiny weeds to large weeds with ease.
