How to use

Read the safety instructions before using.

  • Place the 3/8″ diameter round portion into a portable drill. A cordless drill works better, and is safer, but a corded drill will do the job with limitations.
  • With the drill NOT turned on, place the star shape cutter head on the ground to the upper end of the weed you wish to remove at about a 30-degree angle. This allows the cutter to dig in the ground and get UNDER the weed. Holding onto the drill with 2 hands works better. Turn on the drill and with a slight downward pressure, the cutter will get UNDER the weed then pull slightly toward you until the weed is removed. Average size weeds might get wrapped around the cutter and shaft and a reversal of the drill rotation will ease the removal of such. For very large size weeds that wrap around, remove the weeder from the drill and slide them off the long shaft. Using a pair of gloves are important to protect your hands from any sharp weeds.
  • This can also be used a mini tiller in your existing flower or vegetable garden, by dragging the weeder toward you, keeping it in the soil. This not only removes the weeds but also aerates the dirt. This will not work if you have landscape fabric under the dirt, as the cutter will bind up in it.
  • UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCE place your hands or feet near the revolving cutter head.
